ITIL

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is the most widely accepted approach to IT Service Management (ITSM) in the world. ITIL provides a cohesive set of best practices, drawn from the public and private sectors internationally. It is supported by a comprehensive qualifications scheme, accredited training organisations, and implementation and assessment tools.

HIQ has embraced the ITIL approach and currently our entire workforce is on the road to ITIL certification. At a bare minimum, every single employee holds the ITIL Version 3 Foundation Certificate.

We believe that our adoption of ITIL methodologies will enhance our delivery of high-quality IT services.

When it comes to Incident Management, Change Management and Request Fulfilment, the principles of ITIL are already firmly embedded within the HIQ culture. Our goal is to continue developing our service delivery excellence aligned to ITIL.

TOGAF

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) has been taken on board by HIQ.

TOGAF is an industry standard architecture framework that may be used freely by any organisation wishing to develop an information systems architecture for use within that organisation.

Originally developed by members of The Open Group, working within the Architecture Forum (www.opengroup.org/architecture), it is a detailed method and a set of supporting tools for developing enterprise architecture.

Key members of the HIQ Infrastructure, Applications and Strategic Development teams have been certified in TOGAF.

PRINCE 2

PRINCE2® (Projects IN Controlled Environments), is a widely used project management method that navigates through all the essentials for running a successful project. It’s a process-based approach providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK and is practiced worldwide.

Here at HIQ, our dedicated IT Projects team has employed the PRINCE2® methodology, and our successful implementations of both new and upgraded systems in the recent past bear testament to its effectiveness.

All of our IT Project Managers are all trained in the PRINCE2® methodology.

BABOK

In the world of business analysis, IIBA® (International Institute of Business Analysis) has become the leading association through the creation of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®), a comprehensive guide that reflects the current generally accepted practices within the BA profession.

BABOK describes Business Analysis areas of knowledge, their associated activities and the tasks and skills necessary to be effective in their execution.

At HIQ, our team of IT Business Analysts are committed to working to the BABOK methodologies to ensure our service delivery is focused on the business need of our customers.
